LISLE – Young basketball players hoping to learn the finer points of the game could so a lot worse than learning from a three-time NBA champion.

They had that chance last week as former Chicago Bulls standout Toni Kukoc hosted and coached at his own camp at the Bulls/Sox Academy in Lisle June 23 to 27.

Dozens of campers performed layup drills, did some spot-up shooting and worked on the fundamentals of the game as Kukoc made the rounds and provided pointers.

It was Kukoc's first time running a camp in the United States, but he hopes to make it an annual event.

"I like it," Kukoc said. "It's fun with the kids. They have all kinds of questions and you can see that they're trying to make themselves better, so I have no problem running a camp for the kids like this."
