WESTMONT – Standard Market Westmont recently debuted SMQ, a casual, open air barbecue offering a variety of smoked and grilled menu items
Positioned near the exit of Standard Market Westmont, SMQ guests can choose from a variety of barbecue dishes made with ingredients from the market, including sweet and spicy barbecue sauce, according to the Standard Market news release.
“SMQ features baby back ribs, smoked brisket, and pulled pork cooked low and slow in a hickory wood smoker,” Standard Market Executive Chef Brian Wright said in the release. “We’re excited to offer our guests another dining option at Standard Market Westmont, where they can enjoy high quality barbecue in a casual environment.”
The barbecue serves both entrées and sandwiches, as well as side dishes and desserts such as barbecued baked beans, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, bourbon bread pudding and peach cobbler, according to the release.
Barbecue fare will be prepared in the SMQ hickory wood smoker and full sized charcoal grill. Wine and beer is also available for purchase, the release stated.
SMQ has a covered patio strung with lights and equipped with a gigantic fan. The open-air restaurant also has a walk-up window for take-out orders.
SMQ is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily and can seat 66 people, according to the release.
