Brookfield library looks to fill trustee position

BROOKFIELD – Residents have until July 30 to submit their applications for an open position on the Brookfield Public Library’s Board of Trustees. The position was previously filled by Frank Torres, who has moved out of Brookfield. 

Any resident of Brookfield is eligible for appointment. The position is not paid, and includes responsibilities such as articulating the mission and vision of the library, overseeing the governance and fiduciary health of the library, attending regular board meetings on the fourth Wednesday of each month and serving on one or more Board Committees. 

To apply, a resume and letter of interest, including a vision for the library, should be sent to President of the Board of Trustees Jennifer Perry at Brookfield Public Library, 3609 Grand Blvd., Brookfield, IL, 60513, or to jperry@brookfieldlibrary.info.
