ADDISON – If teens are getting restless during summer break, the Addison Park District has a few summer jobs available.

The park district has announced new summer employment opportunities funded by an Illinois Youth Recreation Corps Grant. The employment grant, awarded by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, has created 20 new seasonal jobs in the parks department and recreation department, according to a park district news release.

To be eligible for these new roles, qualified candidates must be between the ages of 14 and 18 years old. Candidates also cannot have been previously employed by Addison Park District to be eligible. These Youth Grant job opportunities will be available for the remainder of the summer, with employment ending Aug. 31, the release stated.

Candidates interested in the field of recreation and/or conservation may apply for positions as Centennial Rec Center maintenance aide, groundskeeper at Links & Tees Golf Facility and parks maintenance.

Applications will be accepted online only at www.addisonparks.org. The Youth Grant job listings can be found under the "About Us" tab.
