DOWNERS GROVE – Downtown Downers Grove was the center of the action again this weekend during the annual GroveFest celebration.
Children and adults got a head start on the carnival rides Thursday during all-you-can-ride night, and enjoyed the live entertainment along with dozens of games and food booths throughout the weekend, ending Sunday.
Festival goers also got to enjoy two specialty craft beers at the festival brewed by Emmett’s Ale House. The first was the popular 1 A.M. ale, and the second was a special brewing of GroveFest Summer Bock. The two beers were featured along with others for adults 21 and over in the beer garden and Wenzel Select Properties Entertainment Area.
The Festival of Cars returned to cap off the fun for the 31st year 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Forrest and Warren avenues. The car show featured dash plaques and goodie bags for the first 200 entries, along with door prizes.
