Hinsdale traffic alert issued for Sunday between 1 and 2 p.m.

HINSDALE – On Sunday, St. Isaac Jogues Church will be conducting a procession right after its noon mass, walking about a mile with families, friends and hundreds of parishioners from St. Isaac's and Notre Dame.

The procession will go through the streets of Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills, ending at Notre Dame Church for Benediction and will be followed by an ice cream social.

The procession is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. and lasts about an hour, according to the Village of Hinsdale website.

Accordingly, travel in the area of the church and along the included route will be impacted between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Hinsdale police officers will be leading the procession and will be assigned to various intersections along the route.

The procession follows this route:

1.) Starts at St. Isaac's Jogues, 4th and Clay streets at 1 p.m.

2.) Travels west on 4th Street to Stough Street.

3.) Heads north on Stough Street to Burlington Avenue.

4.) West on Burlington Avenue into Clarendon Hills.
