Plainfield Fire Protection District gets 3 awards

PLAINFIELD – On May 23, Silver Cross Hospital held their annual Emergency Medical Services Awards Banquet. The Plainfield Fire Protection District is pleased to announce that they received three Outstanding Call Awards during the banquet. One award was for a call on July 17 for a heat stroke victim, and the other two awards were for calls on Sept. 3 and Jan. 17.

Both calls involved the successful resuscitation of cardiac arrest victims.

The fire district employees who received the awards are Vince Baudek, Robert Davanon, Karyn Eichelberger, Randie Hillison, Chad Krnac, Randy Krnac, Mike Lough, Damien McCarron, Jim Pubentz, Craig Rundle, Joe Schroeder, Carl Schultz, Mike Smego and Jason Stone.

Plainfield Fire Protection District is a member of the Silver Cross EMS System.

This is a network of fire departments, ambulance services, industrial responders, training centers, dispatch centers and hospitals committed to providing the highest quality of pre-hospital patient care.

Silver Cross Hospital is the state-designated Resource Hospital for the Silver Cross EMS System since the System’s inception in May 1975.
