Officials to dedicate Metra Station in Cicero Wednesday

CICERO – Cicero, state, and Metra officials will gather at 10 a.m. Wednesday, to dedicate the newly-rehabbed Metra station at 49th Avenue and 25th Place.

Metra officials said the station has gone through a complete rebuild, including new platforms, a new warming house on the outbound side, a new head house and ramp enclosure with a heated waiting area on the the inbound side, new lighting, landscaping, and a paved parking lot.

All improvements are ADA compliant, officials said.
