NAPERVILLE – Naperville resident Malik Hughes (center) receives a Marquette Bank Education Foundation Scholarship from Vice President of Community Reinvestment Manuel Jimenez (left) and Marquette Neighborhood Commitment Director Christie Cox.

In 2014, Marquette awarded scholarships for $2,500 to 54 graduating seniors in Chicago and the southwest suburbs.

Recipients were recommended by guidance counselors and principals and selected based on financial need, scholastic achievement and volunteer service.

Hughes is a recent graduate of Waubonsie Valley High School and will attend Northern Illinois University.
