Glenbard Parent Series begins summer reading program

LOMBARD – The Glenbard Parent Series: Navigating Healthy Families is kicking off its summer reading program with author Ishmael Beah's book, "Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier," a required reading for some Glenbard English and social studies classes.

GPS will host a free author event at 7 p.m. Aug. 28 at Glenbard West High School, 670 Crescent Blvd., Glen Ellyn.
