Several student fees will increase for the 2014-15 school year at Willowbrook and Addison Trail high schools.

VILLA PARK – DuPage High School District 88 will increase three student fees for the 2014-15 school year.

The technology fee will be $35, the driver's education fee will be $220 and the optional parking fee will be $200.

The district determined the fee increases were necessary because of the challenging economy, including a decrease in state and federal funding. The fee increases will allow the district to maintain its high-level comprehensive curriculum for students, according to a news release.

Despite the increase, District 88 student fees remain some of the lowest in the area, the release said.
