Algonquin police to hold alcohol servers class

ALGONQUIN – The police department has scheduled a Basic Alcohol Seller/Server Education Training (BASSET) class for 9 a.m. June 30.

The class will teach students how to spot fake identification cards, who to serve and not to serve, and state laws regarding alcohol sales, according to a news release.

The class is open to anyone at least 18 years old working in the beverage industry, the news release said.

People who wish to attend must register by June 25. The enrollment fee is $40.
