DuPage Credit Union is partnering with the DuPage Regional Office of Education to launch “We've Got Your Back – One Backpack at a Time,” which will raise funds to buy school supplies for local students in need, according to a credit union news release.
Donations will be accepted through July 7 and can be made online via www.dupagecu.com/community or at any of the following branch offices:
• Bloomingdale – 202 S. Gary Ave.
• Downers Grove – 725 Ogden Ave.
• Naperville – 790 Royal St. George Drive
• Wheaton – 625 E. Roosevelt Road
Proceeds will be used to purchase backpacks, paper, pencils, erasers, calculators and other supplies.
The union hopes to collect $10,000 to assist 500 students.
Backpacks will go to attendees of the DuPage Regional Office of Education's Annual Back-to-School Fair on Aug. 6 at the Odeum, 1033 N. Villa Ave., Villa Park.
