DOWNERS GROVE – The Downers Grove Area Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Woodridge Area Chamber of Commerce announced they will form one chamber entity effective July 1.
“This unification gives our membership a much broader business networking base," Woodridge Area Chamber of Commerce Chairman Dan Coil said in a statement. "I am excited as a member for all of the new opportunities it represents for my business as well as every member's business."
“At a time when many membership organizations are struggling to retain membership, 'Chamber630' represents a bigger, better chamber and provides enhanced value for the membership," Downers Grove Chamber Chairman Rick Mytnik said.
In celebration of the merger, the chamber will host a "We Are Here" event from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. June 25 at Seven Bridges. The evening will begin with a ribbon cutting at Cinemark Theatre.
Before the event, attendees will receive a passport that can be used for tastings at various restaurants at Seven Bridges. Attendees will also qualify for special drawings to be held throughout the event.
The doors to Cinemark open at 4:30 p.m. June 25 and the ribbon cutting ceremony begins at 5 p.m.
