Gov. Quinn announces Bolingbrook construction project

BOLINGBROOK – Gov. Pat Quinn has announced an investment of $565,000 for road construction projects in Will County, including along Interstate 55 in Bolingbrook.

Pavement will be patched at the Bolingbrook Weigh Stations along I-55. The work at the northbound station will be done by G.M. Sipes Construction, Inc. of Rushville for $174,699, the lowest of eight bids. The work on the southbound station will be done by Vixen Construction, Inc. of Bridgeview for $162,557, the lowest of eight bids.

The projects will be managed by the Illinois Department of Transportation.

The projects are part of Governor Quinn’s $31 billion Illinois Jobs Now! program.
