BERWYN – The Berwyn Park District cut the ribbon on their Invincible Spirit Cancer Memorial in Proska Park on Friday. A ribbon-shaped planting of pink-blooming hydrangeas surrounds a bench and plaque for reflection.

The memorial honors those touched or affected by cancer, and calls special attention to breast cancer, according to Berwyn Park District Director Jeff Jandra.

The ribbon cutting was attended by donors to the memorial and area residents touched by cancer.

Remembrance donations continue to be accepted by the park district, Jandra said. Call the park district at 708-788-1701 for more information.
