THUMBS UP: Villa Park residents teamed with DuPage Habitat for Humanity to work on repairs and landscaping at a three-family townhome building May 31 in unincorporated DuPage County near Glen Ellyn. Here's to the men and woman who donate their time and energy to strengthen our community.

THUMBS UP: Congratulations to the students whose work was selected to appear in last week's District 45 PTA Student Art Show. The inaugural event featured 241 pieces of artwork, ranging from paintings to drawings to sculptures. Students from all eight of the Lombard and Villa Park schools in the district were represented, kindergarten through eighth grade.
