Hinsdale Fourth of July parade scheduled

HINSDALE – The Village of Hinsdale's Independence Day parade is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. kicking off from Sixth and Garfield streets.

The parade will then head north to First Street, continue west to Grant Street, head south on Grant and end at Sixth and Grant streets.

The village is also encouraging community groups, families and businesses to participate in the parade. To enter the parade, visit the web site to download the application. There is no charge for community groups and non-profit organizations.

The annual Independence Day celebration will be take place on the grounds of Burlington Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This event features a collection of arts and crafts and family activities.

Activities also include kid's inflatables, carnival games and face painting. Rotary Club of Hinsdale turtle races will be featured following the parade at the west end of Burlington Park.
