Cog Hill golf outing to benefit fallen firefighter scholarship fund

LEMONT – The Christopher D. Wheatley Memorial Foundation will hold its annual golf outing Wednesday, June 18, at Cog Hill Golf Course, 12294 Archer Ave., Lemont.

Wheatley, a Lemont native and Chicago firefighter, died in the line of duty in 2010.

Check-in is at 7 a.m., with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. and dinner at 2:30 p.m.

Proceeds from the event will benefit scholarships given through Lemont High School, the Romeoville Fire Academy, the Chicago Fire Department and the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Medicine.

Registration is due by Monday, June 16, and can be done at www.golfing4chris.com.
