'RENT' comes to Jedlicka Performing Arts Center with cast of locals

CICERO – BAMtheatre will present the Tony Award-winning Best Musical "RENT" from June 26 to 28, at the Jedlicka Performing Arts Center, 3801 S. Central Ave., Cicero.

Curtain times are 7:30 p.m. for the Thursday and Friday night performances, and at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., for the Saturday performance.

Tickets cost $20, but are available for $18 with a senior discount. Group rates are also available. Tickets can be purchased at www.bamtheatre.com.

Set in the East Village of New York City, "RENT" is a story about falling in love, finding your voice and living for today. The play won a Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize in Drama.

The show is directed by Melanie Lamoureux and Max Cervantes, with music direction by Peter Bromann and choreography by Laura Savage.

The cast features: Alexis Arias, Andy Ortiz, Zaire Paul-Emile, of Berwyn; Abby Huskisson, Dan Balsamo, Leo Fotos, Maria Fasano, Meghan Fasano, of Downers Grove; Addy Stafford, Andrew Hipskind, Evan Donaldson, Griffin Conboy, Katie Schaber, Nicole Labun, Shannon Johnson, of Hinsdale; Dan Cassin, David Gallo, Emily Sierra, Lily Chrones, of Clarendon Hills; Jack Franco, of Burr Ridge; Janette Angelini, of Darien; Kate Schiliro, of Elmhurst; Katelyn Smith, of Broadview; Maria Landi, of Glen Ellyn; Emily Santiago, of Carol Stream; Shannon Finnegan, of Westmont; and Teagan Earley, of Wheaton.
