Elmhurst firefighters to fill the boot for Muscular Dystrophy Association

ELMHURST – Members of the Elmhurst Fire Department Local #3541, along with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, will celebrate their 60-year partnership with the annual Fill the Boot fundraiser campaign.

The campaign benefits children and adults affected by the muscle disease throughout the Elmhurst area. Funds raised through 2014 Elmhurst Fill the Boot event will help support MDA's programs of worldwide research, specialized health care services, and day-to-day support, which includes sending children a week-long, barrier-free MDA summer camp at Timber Pointe Outdoor Center in Hudson, Ill., stated a news release.
