DOWNERS GROVE – The Downers Grove Chamber of Commerce and Industry will host an event that includes information on networking, business professionalism and a panel discussion on Tuesday.
At the event there will be a panel discussion on the importance of getting involved in the community, how it affects the future and your business, according to a press release.
The Village of Downers Grove Commissioner Geoff Neustadt, Kent Ebersold of Ebersold, Inc., Mike Healy of Naperville Jaycees and Melna Langham of ScotPress Printing will share their stories.
Neustadt has served two elected terms as commissioner for Downers Grove. He has lived in Downers Grove all of his life and has served the town in many different areas, including working for Downers Grove Grade School District 58 for 15 years and also working for a small business in the downtown area.
"Geoff believes in helping the people of Downers Grove by continuously improving the town’s services and providing the residents with security and protection," the chamber stated in a press release.
Also a lifelong resident of Downers Grove, Kent Ebersold is the vice president of Ebersold, Inc., two-time past president of Rotary, vice president of Phi Sigma Kappa Alumni Association for NIU and participates in his church and LODGE.
Mike Healy, founder and CEO of Velocity Energy is also the president of the Naperville Jaycees, the largest chapter in Illinois and top ten in the nation.
Melna Langham of ScotPress Printing has been involved in countless areas of Downers Grove. She was awarded the Chamber Choice YPN Award and has served on the Chamber of Commerce Board for two terms. Melna has also spearheaded several Chamber and Indian Boundary YMCA events as well as others throughout the county.
The panel discussion for the Young Professionals Network will begin at 4:30 p.m. at Gatto’s Restaurant and Bar located at 5123 Main St. in Downers Grove.
After the panel discussion there will be a Business off the Clock networking event from 5 to 7 p.m. where attendees will be able to network with other business professionals.
