Winfield scout achieves Eagle rank through church project

WINFIELD – Winfield Boy Scout Benjamin Cary is awarded the Eagle rank, scouting's highest rank, at a ceremony May 31 at Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton.

The Wheaton resident and senior at Wheaton North High School is a member of Winfield Boy Scout Troop 575, and he is the 44th scout from that troop to achieve the rank.

For his Eagle project, Cary led scouts in repairing and refurbishing rain drainage tracks at Gary United Methodist Church.
