WEST CHICAGO – The West Chicago Police Department and Park District invite children and adults of all ages to have truckloads of fun at Touch-A-Truck on Saturday at Reed-Keppler Park.
The long-running event was established to bring the community together, event organizer and Crime Prevention Officer Tony Quarto said in a city news release.
"It's a great event, and everything is free," Quarto said. "We have a committed group of businesses and people who help out the day of the event, but they also help by donating prizes, food and giveaways."
Quarto encourages West Chicago residents to mark the event on their calendars and gear up for some family fun.
Touch-A-Truck will feature a variety of construction and public works trucks, including big rigs, fire engines, police cars, excavating equipment and more, for visitors to explore and experience.
The trucks and equipment will come from several governmental agencies and private companies.
Touch-A-Truck will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Turtle Splash parking lot, 129 W. National St.
