Police reports: June 6 for Hinsdale

Information in Police Reports is obtained from the Hinsdale Police Department. Individuals listed in Police Reports who have been charged with a crime have not been proven guilty in court.


DUI charged

• Ashlee Crawford, 21, 205 S. Vine St., was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 6:12 p.m. May 30 at the intersection of Ogden Avenue and Monroe Street.

• James McBride, 62, 429 S. Monroe St., was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper backing at 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of South Monroe Street.

Theft reported

• Two bicycle tires were stolen from a garage between 6 p.m. May 25 and 10:44 a.m. May 27 in the 1400 block of Burr Oak Road.

• Someone used a victim's bank account number to pay a $233.80 utility bill totaling at noon May 12 (reported May 29) in the 500 block of North Bruner Street.

Criminal damage reported

Graffiti was spray painted twice on a portable toilet, once on a village sign and once on a telephone utility box between 6 p.m. May 26 and 9:29 a.m. May 30 in the 500 block of North Lincoln Street and the 400 block of North Lincoln Street.

Fraud reported

Someone sent emails requesting to transfer $14,000 to a different bank account sometime between 1:41 p.m. May 15 and 3:48 p.m. May 16 (reported May 28) at U.S. Bank, 21 W. 2nd St.

Hit and run reported

A dark gray BMW sedan struck another vehicle and left the scene of the accident at 3:45 p.m. May 30 near the intersection of Madison Street and Hinsdale Avenue.
