BROADVIEW – A Bellwood man charged with shooting two people in Broadview last week is being held on $2 million bond, according to media reports.

Shunterril D. Turner, 21, of the 430 block of Frederick Avenue, was arrested May 28 and charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder, as well as two counts of aggravated battery with a firearm, reports said.

At about 9 p.m. May 26, Turner reportedly followed the victims to their car parked near a business in the 1400 block of Roosevelt Road in Broadview, according to reports. As the two – a man and a woman – sat in their car, Turner allegedly fired multiple shots at the vehicle with a 9mm handgun, reports said.

The driver was shot in the left thigh, and the passenger was shot in her right leg and chest, according to reports. 22 bullet holes were found in the body of the car, reports said.

Turner's bond was set during a court appearance yesterday, according to reports.

A call placed Sunday afternoon with the Cook County State's Attorney's Office was not immediately returned.
