Published: Wednesday, June 4, 2014 3:24 p.m. CDT

BERWYN – Lillian Guerrier was officially appointed as deputy city clerk when the Berwyn City Council met May 27.

In a letter dated May 23 to the council, City Clerk Tom Pavlik said Guerrier had been serving as deputy clerk for the three past months "in an exemplary manner with professionalism and dedication to the clerk's office."

After staff worked with Guerrier, the decision was made to bring her on full time with the city.

"She's been with us for three months. She's been wonderful, so we brought her on full time," Assistant City Administrator Evan Summers said. "She's a Berwyn resident and a very well organized person, and that's what that job needs."

Guerrier replaces Linda L. Degutis, who is out on temporary disability.
