Itasca celebrates anniversaries at Memorial Day Parade

ITASCA – Itasca's annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday honored fallen veterans and celebrated the anniversary of two organizations in town.

The Itasca Park District and Lions Club marked their 50th and 75th anniversaries, respectively, by serving as co-grand marshals of the parade.

One of the park district's original commissioners Don Oberg attended the parade with his family.

Following the parade, a memorial service led by VFW Post 5167 took place at Usher Park in Itasca.
