Grand Prairie students raise more than $13,000 for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

FRANKFORT – On May 17, a successful fundraising walk by Grand Prairie Elementary School students – kindergarten through second grade – raised $13,249 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) through its JDRF Kids Walk program.

Grand Prairie physical education instructors Rob Seibert, Richard Innocenti and Marcie Uelman coordinated the event. Students walked for 25 minutes during their physical education classes to music. Students were recognized with a banner and awards.
