Barrington Brew Fest set for July

BARRINGTON – Enjoy live music, tasty food and craft brews at this year's 11th annual Barrington Brew Fest from 3 to 7 p.m. July 12. The event will be held in the Fourth of July tent by the Metra train station in downtown Barrington.

More than 40 craft brewers from all over the country are expected to attend. Food vendors will include McGonigal's Pub, Big Iron Horse BBQ, Ruth's Chris Steak House and Gilbert's Craft Sausages. Music will be provided by Second Time Around, according to news release.

All proceeds will benefit the Barrington Area Council on Aging. Tickets are $40 in advance; $50 on the day of the event. A limited amount of VIP tickets are available for $80 – holders are admitted at 2:30 p.m. and can sample special selections of premium craft brews, according to the release.

Tickets include a tasting glass and brew sampling. The first 750 attendees at the gate will also receive a free Brew Fest t-shirt. A combination ticket will be available for Uncork Barrington, a wine event held July 11.
