State titles for Emma Haugen, Katelyn Hill, Madeline Perez and Anne Zaher

Bolingbrook, Downers Grove North, Downers Grove South, Fenwick, Glenbard North, Montini, Lemont, Lisle, Westmont, Wheaton Warrenville South have all-state finishers

CHARLESTON – At the Class 1A, 2A and 3A girls track and field state finals on Saturday, several area athletes had meets to remember.
Madeline Perez of Glenbard West won the Class 3A 3,200-meter run with a time of 10:34.60. Teammate Lindsay Graham was second in 10:40.73. Perez went for the double distance title and finished eighth in the 1,600 with a time of 5:02.19.
The 1,600 race in 3A went to Hinsdale Central's Anne Zaher, who clocked a time of 5:00.08. Teammate Alexa Haff was all-state in the 3,200, finishing sixth with a time of 10:50.36.
Lyons Township's Emma Haugen defended her high jump state title of a year ago, winning with the Class 3A competition with a mark of 5 feet, 7 inches. She added another state medal in the triple jump (seventh, 36-8.75)
Glenbard South's Katelyn Hill won the 2A 100 hurdles inn 14.84 seconds, holding off Fenwick sophomore and Elmhurst resident Grace Cronin (14.93). Hill later took second in a tight 300 hurdles race with a time of 43.92. Normal U-High's Chate Stonewall clocked a 43.84.
Cronin was third in the 300 hurdles (43.93) and sixth in the high jump (5-3).  
Lemont's Vika Marmaite was second in the 3A triple jump (39-7) and teammate Jacque Desmond was sixth in the pole vault (11 feet).
Downers Grove South sophomore Michaela Hackbarth finished second in the 3A 800 run (2:13.0). Teammate Abby Kargol was fifth in the 3,200 (10:50.04)
Montini's Emma Makowski, Madeline Jamrozek, Gianna Salzbrunn and Brittany Fisher teamed up to take second in the 2A 4x800 relay (9:26.47). Salzbrunn placed seventh in the 300 hurdles (46.35) and eighth in the long jump (17 feet, 2.25 inches).
Westmont sophomore Annie Carlson took third in the 1A 300 hurdles (44.57) and fourth in the triple jump (36-4.75).
Emma Moravec, Margaret Schaub, Zayna Jan and Stephanie Urbancik comprised Downers Grove North's 4x800 relay that placed fourth in 3A with a time of 9:14.16. LT's Vanessa Flaherty, Katie Hamor, Kate Heinz and Lexy Rudofski were sixth in the race (9:16.75). Urbancik later finished ninth in the 800 (2:16.77).
Glenbard North's Simone Carr finished fifth in the 3A 400 dash (56.96).
Bolingbrook's Jessica Watkins, Asha Wallace, Claire Young and Charlyncia Stennis finished sixth in the Class 3A 4x100 with a time of 48.35. Watkins later finished sixth in the 100 dash (12.25) and Stennis was seventh in the 400 (57.66)
Lisle freshman Edoise Omoike was sixth in both the 1A 100 dash (12.65) and 400 dash (59.37).
Fenwick's Olivia Ryan placed sixth in the 2A 1,600 run with a time of 5:10.63).
Taylor Ray, Hill, Ivana Markovic and Taylor Blohm Bivens comprised Glenbard South's 4x100 relay that was seventh in 2A (49.37). Markovic, Blohm Bivens, Becca Everhart and Hill ran to fifth in the 4x400 (4:00.73)
Emma Nassos had Wheaton Warrenville South's best finish with an eighth-place mark of 11 feet in the pole vault. Teammate Erin Zappia was ninth in the high jump (5-4).
