Addison police to host severe weather spotter training

ADDISON – The Addison Police Department will host a Severe Weather Spotter Training Class this month.

Rich Jirsa from the DuPage County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management will head the class, which is designed to educate the public about being safe in severe weather, identifying storm structure and reporting severe weather information.

The class will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at Addison Village Hall, 1 Friendship Plaza.
