FOX RIVER GROVE – The Fox River Grove Fire Protection District has scheduled its annual senior luncheon senior citizens who live in the district, according to a news release.
There will be public education presentations: one by Lt. Mark Rainey demonstrating the tools the department uses to move patients during an ambulance call, and a "Safe Seniors Quiz" conducted by district Chaplain Gerry Schalk, the news release said.
Lunch will be served after the presentation, and those who participate will receive a safety-theme door prize, the news release said.
“We want to offer all of our residents the very best fire and emergency medical service that we can,” said Fire Chief Bob Kreher. “Our senior luncheon helps us to better serve our seniors and for them to get to know the members of our department.”
The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. June 4, at the fire station at 411 Algonquin Road.
To RSVP to the event, call 847-639-9232.
