Hanover Park police investigate 7-Eleven armed robbery

HANOVER PARK – Hanover Park police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred early Friday morning at a 7-Eleven, according to a police department news release.

Two unknown suspects wearing masks and dressed in black entered the store at 1610 Walnut Ave. at about 1:07 a.m. and stole cash, cigarettes and lottery tickets, the release stated.

One offender was armed with a pellet-type gun, according to the release.

Police also are searching for a potential witness in the case, who entered the store and exited shortly before the reported robbery, the release stated.
