Addison Trail to present one-act plays

Published: Friday, May 2, 2014 11:48 a.m. CDT

ADDISON – Addison Trail High School students will take the lead during the school’s student-directed One Acts this weekend.

The evening will feature acts from four plays. One will be directed by senior Megan Lobner, a second will be directed by seniors Brenda Sypolt and Morgan Pirtle, a third will be directed by senior Brent Yurek and a fourth will be directed by senior Alex Ramirez, according to a District 88 newsletter.

The event is free, but donations will be accepted to support an arts charity chosen by the directors. Addison Trail Theatre Director Anna Jakubka said what makes this year’s show different is all four directors are seniors, and Yurek and Ramirez wrote their own plays, the newsletter stated.

Performances will begin at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
