Krumrie, Steele lead Lemont DHH volleyball at tourney

Lemont High School’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing volleyball team competed at the Harper College Deaf Volleyball Tournament in Palatine over the weekend. The Indians played a total of 14 games at the one-day tournament and went 10-4 to finish in third place.

Two Lemont players, senior Monica Krumrie and sophomore Keshon Steele, earned all-star awards for their performance at the tournament.

Joining Krumrie and Steele on the team were juniors Ryan Glynn, Kiara Harris and Justin Slusher; sophomores Kurt Bernabei, Ashley Mussallem and Greg Schmidt; and freshmen Abby Bernabei and Emre Guven.

The Indians’ coaches include DHH program staff members Judy Gray and Eric Smithson.
