Foundation to host Honor Flight Chicago fundraiser in West Chicago

WEST CHICAGO – The DuPage Veterans Foundation invites community members to help honor World War II and Korean War veterans at a fundraiser to benefit Honor Flight Chicago.

The event will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at DuPage Airport, 2700 International Drive in West Chicago.

The luncheon is free to WWII and Korean War veterans as well as active duty military in uniform.

The fundraiser will include a patriotic program featuring the Naperville Municipal Band, Marine Corps League Color Guard, The Naperville Firefighters Highland Guard and more. It will pay tribute to the honored veteran and active military guests.

The Legacy Girls will perform WWII/Korean War-era music, and period military vehicles, aircraft and memorabilia will be on display.

Every WWII and Korean War veteran in attendance will be recognized for their service during the program.

WGN’s Steve Sanders will emcee the event.

The cost is $30 in advance or $40 at the door for adults and $20 for children. For information, visit dupageveteransfoundation.org.
