Glenbard East's baseball team dropped a DuPage Valley Conference game 6-1 against Glenbard North on Saturday.

Tommy Mogavero and John Allen managed two hits each in a 7-3 loss at the Panthers on Wednesday.

BASEBALL

Willowbrook

Mike Rothmund was 3-for-4 with four RBIs in a 9-2 win against Oak Lawn on Saturday.

SOFTBALL

Glenbard East

Dana Camp drove in all four runs in the Rams' 5-4 loss to Naperville North on Wednesday.

Montini

The Broncos crushed Walther Lutheran 15-1 Monday and Marian Central 11-2 Wednesday. Ashley Lentine had four hits against Walther and Alyssa Sclafani was 3-for-3 with two triples against Marian.

Addison Trail

Rachel Baumgartner picked up the win in the circle for the Blazers in a 4-2 victory against Taft on April 25.

Willowbrook

West Suburban Gold leader Downers Grove South beat the Warriors 10-0 on Wednesday.

Montini

The Broncos lost to Marian Central 2-0 Tuesday.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Glenbard East

A three-game loss against Maine South in pool play sent the Rams to the Silver bracket of Downers Grove South's Mustang Invitational April 25.

East defeated Downers Grove North 25-20, 25-15 before losing to Wheaton Warrenville South 25-22, 25-17 in the next match. The Rams closed out the tournament in 11th place by beating Niles West 26-28, 25-16, 25-15.

Returning to conference action on Tuesday, Wheaton Warrenville South beat the Rams again, 25-20, 25-15.

Willowbrook

The Warriors split two pool play matches, sweeping Lemont and losing to New Trier, at the Mustang Invitational April 25, placing them in the silver bracket.

Once there the Warriors lost to Niles West 25-19, 25-20, beat Glenbrook South 25-15, 25-18 and lost to Downers Grove North 25-19, 23-25, 25-22 to place 14th in the tournament.

On Tuesday they lost to defending state champ Downers Grove South 25-15, 25-14.

BOYS TRACK AND FIELD

Willowbrook

Matt Burns is getting back into his groove in the 400-meter dash.

The defending state champ won the race at the Glenbard South invite with a time of 51.36 seconds. The 4 x 100 relay team of Dylan Jones, Josan Murphy, Alex Lavorini and Shelly Williams also crossed the finish line in first.

Jones, Murphy, Williams and Burns were second in the 4 x 400. Jones was second in the 100 and Jimmy Funteas was second in the 800.

Willowbrook was third in the team standings.

Glenbard East

Led by the relay team of Maurice McGee, Vince Booth, Drew Mikel and Jack Peters, the Rams placed fourth at the Glenbard South invite on April 25. The foursome won the 4 x 400-meter relay and was second in the both the 4 x 200 and 4 x 800.

Individually, second place finishers were Mike Czernek (discus), Mickey Farnham (shot put) and Tyler Rossel (400).

Addison Trail

Luis Miranda, Matt Oliva, Luis Eugenio and Juan Valdez teamed up to take first in the 4 x 800-meter relay at the Glenbard South invite.

Jaavion Bradley was second in the high jump, followed by teammate Ronald Duling, and Valdez was third in the 800. AT was fifth overall.

GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD

Glenbard East

The Rams won their own invite on April 25. The 4 x 200-meter relay won and the 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 relays were second.

Hunter Easterday won the pole vault and Stephany Flores won the long jump. Angela Kerndl was second in the high jump and the triple jump. Tasia Banks took second in both the 100 and 200.

Willowbrook

Molly Krawczykowski continued her strong season by winning the 800-meter run at Glenbard West's invite on Saturday. Jada Stills won shot put and was third in discus. Taylor Burton was third in both the 100 and 200. The Warriors were sixth out of 15 teams.

BOYS TENNIS

Willowbrook

The Warriors took third at the own invite on Saturday.

BADMINTON

Willowbrook

After tying for ninth out of 16 teams at the Hornet Invite on Saturday, the Warriors beat York 9-6 on Monday.

BOYS GYMNASTICS

Glenbard East

By scoring 124.15 points the Rams took fourth at the DuPage Valley Conference meet on April 25.

Addison Trail

The Blazers placed sixth at the Kafka Varsity Invitational at Glenbard West on Saturday with 116.3 points.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL: Glenbard East travels to Downers Grove North for a tournament set to start at 8 a.m. Saturday.
