Bolingbrook Hospital Foundation presents 'A Starlight Gala' May 22

BOLINGBROOK – Chicago jazz vocalist Elaine Dame will headline the Bolingbrook Hospital Foundation’s annual gala in May.

“A Starlight Gala” begins at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 22, at The Promenade Bolingbrook.

More than 300 people are expected to attend. Tickets are available for $75, while event sponsorships are available beginning at $500. All funds raised from the gala will benefit the healing mission of Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital.

“We have a top-notch musical performance lined up for the evening,” said Derek Cazeau, executive director of the Bolingbrook Hospital Foundation. “Elaine will team with a band of all-stars that have taken the stage with musical legends.”

Dame will perform with guitarist Andy Brown, who has accompanied Barbra Streisand and performed for presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter; saxophonist Mark Colby, who has toured with Frank Sinatra; and trumpet player Victor Garcia, who has played on two Grammy-nominated albums. Drummer Bob Rummage and bassist Jake Vinsel, two highly regarded Chicago-area musicians, round out the group.

Walsh Construction is the presenting sponsor for the gala this year.

Other business partners taking part include Nancy’s Pizza, Ted’s Montana Grill, Mago Grill & Cantina, Bolingbrook Golf Club, Gordon Biersch, Binny’s and Say Beignet.

The community’s support through events such as the annual gala is essential, said Rick Mace, chief executive officer at Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital.

“A hospital is only as good as the people committed to its excellence, and because of the generosity of our community, we can ensure patients in need have access to the vital care they seek,” Mace said.
