Letter: Riverside Little League thanks community for support

To the Editor:

The Riverside Little League would like to thank everyone who made our first fundraiser for field improvements a huge success. We raised nearly $16,000 toward our $52,200 goal.

Thanks to Eddie Wilkowski, owner of Marlins, who not only donated the food for the evening and offered tremendous hospitality, but he also donated a number of items for our silent and live auctions. Also, thank you to guitarist Dave Wzorek, who provided the entertainment for the evening.

Other donors who made the silent auction possible were Aunt Diana’s, Shamrock Florist, John Ralph, Riverside Public Library, Classic Cinemas, Fleetwood Roller Rink, Raging Waves Water Park, DeVine Beauty Products, Skincare Co., Two Crazy Daisies, Cindy Strom, Craig Chapulis, CertaPro Painters, LA Fitness/Oak Brook, Dick’s Sporting Goods, James & Williams Jewelers, Chew Chew, Riverside Restaurant, Riverside Garage, Riverside Police Department, John Stack, Doggy A Go Go, Cleaner Options, Riverside Pilates Studio, Bounce Sports and Michael Delzotti.

All proceeds are going exclusively toward improving the fields at all three parks. The Riverside Little League Board of Directors will continue to look for ways to raise money and determine the best way to make these improvements a reality as soon as possible.

Thank you to all who joined us April 12.

Michael Gentile,

Little League Board President
