IC Catholic’s baseball team lost a pair of conference games to Chicago Christian on Tuesday.

The Knights fell, 1-0, and 14-4, at Standard Bank Stadium in Crestwood.

BASEBALL

York

The Dukes lost two out of three to Lyons Township in a West Suburban Silver series last weekend.

Anthony Santos struck out 10 in a 3-0 shutout victory in the first game on Saturday. The Lions returned the favor with a shutout of their own, winning the second game, 6-0.

The rubber game began Monday, but was suspended due to rain. When play resumed the Lions broke a 1-1 tie to win, 2-1.

Timothy Christian

After getting swept by Ridgewood, the Trojans lost the first two games of a three-game series against Glenbard South earlier this week.

SOFTBALL

IC Catholic

The Knights played three games at the Elgin Sports Complex on Saturday and went 1-2. IC lost to Hampshire, 12-1, and Harvard 6-5, but jumped all over East Aurora in a shortened blowout. Anjella Farmer pitched a four-inning no-hitter.

IC then won three straight to extend the winning streak to four.

Gabby Curran was 5-for-5 and Jessica Conenna was 4-for-4 in a 16-6 win against Walther Lutheran on Monday. Conenna struck out 11 in a 2-1 win against St. Edward the next day.

Curran had four more hits and Conenna pitched five scoreless frames in a 10-0 win against Wheaton Academy on Wednesday.

Timothy Christian

Glenbard South knocked off Timothy, 14-0, on Tuesday and Chicago Christian beat the Trojans, 13-3, the next day.

GIRLS SOCCER

IC Catholic

The Knights won their seventh consecutive match on Saturday by knocking off Westminster Christian, 4-1. The streak was snapped in IC’s next game, which was a 4-0 loss to St. Francis.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

York

Hinsdale Central topped the Dukes, 25-23, 24-26, 25-22, in a West Suburban Silver match Tuesday.

BOYS WATER POLO

York

The Dukes beat Hinsdale South, 11-6, Monday and lost against St. Patrick, 11-9, Wednesday.

GIRLS WATER POLO

York

The Dukes hosted a tournament last weekend and went 1-3 with a win against Barrington and losses to Bremen, Naperville North and Andrew. They bounced back with a 14-2 victory against Hinsdale South on Monday before losing against Naperville Central, 12-4, the next day.

BOYS TENNIS

York

The Dukes lost to Lyons Township and Hinsdale Central in recent West Suburban Silver matches. The No. 3 doubles team of Adam Camp and Matt Molayal were York’s only victors in a 6-1 loss to LT. Central won five of the seven matches before rain suspended play on Monday.

BOYS GYMNASTICS

York

The Dukes hosted the Ken Scorza Invite on Saturday and placed sixth out of 10 teams with a score of 129.6.

Sam Bode was fourth in the all-around with a 46.7 score. Bryce Simpson was right behind in fifth. Simpson was also third on pommel horse.

BOYS LACROSSE

York

The Dukes beat Fenwick, 8-7, in double overtime Wednesday.

GIRLS LACROSSE

York

The Dukes lost to Lyons Township 10-8 Monday.

GIRLS SOCCER: York, 2-1 in the West Suburban Silver, takes on Oak Park-River Forest at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in a conference match.
