LOMBARD – National guitar duo, Patchouli, will perform a concert at 7:30 p.m. April 26 at the Maple Street Chapel, 220 S. Main St.

Master guitarist Bruce Hecksel and Julie Patchouli make up the duo, which has a sound that has been described as "the harmonies of Simon & Garfunkel meet the guitar brilliance of the Gipsy Kings."

The duo's instrumental guitar project, Terra Guitarra: "Dragonfly," was just nominated for Best Instrumental Acoustic Album of the Year by the Zone Music Reporter and has been in the top five of the 100 albums on the ZMR world music radio charts.

Both guitarists studied at The Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago, and have been touring the country for the past 16 years – more than 2,500 shows.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the door, online at www.folk.maplestreetchapel.org or by calling 630-627-0171.
