Gallery Theater in West Chicago to present spring musical

WEST CHICAGO – Despite the snow this week, Gallery Theater in West Chicago is ready to celebrate spring with the musical “Songs of Life” from May 9 through 11.

The musical is a story of family relationships and love, filled with many familiar Broadway songs, according to a theater news release. The show offers something for everyone and promises a gentle tug at the heartstrings of all ages.

Cast members include Maureen Denhof, Kathy Rahtjen, Mark Fortman, Mark Kennelly and John Petrik. The musical director is Jim Rahtjen.

Performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. May 9 and 10 and 3 p.m. May 11 at Gallery Theater, 203 Turner Court.

Tickets cost $9, but there will be a special discount for all mothers on Mother’s Day. Senior and student tickets are $8.
