HINSDALE – The Hinsdale Police Department, in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration, will participate in the eighth National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 26, the Hinsdale Police Department will be collecting expired, unused, unwanted prescription and over the counter drugs, which will then be safely destroyed.

The prescription drug take back program is free and will be anonymous for all who participate. Participants may dispose of medication in its original container, but should remove any identifying information from the prescription label or remove the medication from its original container entirely, according to a news release from the Hinsdale Police Department.

The Hinsdale Police Department will not accept liquid products, intra-venous solutions and syringes.
