Family event at hospital to encourage healthy lifestyles

BARRINGTON – Parents with children are invited to a complementary program aimed at equipping parents to help families adopt a healthier lifestyle from 1 to 3 p.m. April 26 at the Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital's Prairie Room, 450 W Highway 22, Barrington.

The event will feature a panel of healthcare experts that will define medical, psychological, nutritional and physical factors impacting kids heath. Each expert will provide key methods parents can incorporate at home.

Panelists include Mary Collins of Pediatric Specialists of Northwest (recognized as a Chicago Magazine 2014 Top Doctor), Melodi Peters, Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital registered dietitian, Ronald Dachman, of the Behavioral Psychology Associates, and Daniel Kemp, certified personal trainer at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital's Fitness Center.
