ELMHURST – Project HELP, a child abuse prevention program, named an Elmhurst resident as its new executive director.

Peggy McGuire spent 13 years with the DuPage County Regional Office of Education. Prior to that, she spent 10 years with Adoption World as both a case worker and director of foster care.

Project HELP was established in 1992 by the Exchange Club of Naperville to prevent child abuse and neglect. Through home-based parent mentoring and education classes, Project HELP works to empower parents and to promote the safety and well-being of children.
