Published: Thursday, April 17, 2014 5:50 p.m. CDT

BARTLETT – The Bartlett Public Library welcomes members of its Friends of the Library organization to attend a meeting April 27 so they can be thanked for their contributions.

The meeting will take place at 3 p.m. at the library, 800 S. Bartlett Road. It will include a reception for the organization’s members.

New members also are encouraged to attend the meeting to learn about the Friends of the Library and how its services and programs have impacted library patrons.

Since it was founded in 1983, the organization donated more than $130,000 to the library, and the group participates in various activities and fundraisers during the year.

To help support the library, join Friends of the Library organization. Annual dues starting at $5 for an individual, go directly to benefiting the library.

For more information, stop by the library, contact Mary Bavido at 630-213-5014, or visit and select “Support.”
