LOMBARD – All four high schools in Glenbard Township High School District 87 were named to the Washington Post's 2014 list of America's Most Challenging High Schools.
Fewer than 10 percent of high schools nationally make the list, which ranks schools through an index formula that uses the ratio of the number of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and Advanced International Certificate of Education tests, divided by the number of seniors who graduated in May or June of that year.
Out of roughly 682 public high schools and 146 private high schools in Illinois, 65 were chosen to the Washington Post list.
Glenbard West ranked No. 8, Glenbard South No. 24, Glenbard North No. 43 and Glenbard East No. 47.
