Published: Tuesday, April 8, 2014 4:28 p.m. CDT

LOMBARD – The Helen Plum Memorial Library will host its 2014 National Library Week Food-For-Fines program from April 13 to 19 at the library, 110 W. Maple St.

The program is a unique way to clear up unpaid library fines and build community by donating food to those in need. Library patrons can pay off fines by donating food that will benefit the Lombard-Villa Park Food Pantry.

Food items cannot be applied toward the cost of lost or damaged library items. The program is only valid at Helen Plum.

For more information, call the library at 630-627-0316 or visit helenplum.org.
