ADDISON – U.S. Rep. Tammy Duckworth, D-Schaumburg, visited Addison Trail High School on March 28 to speak with students.

Duckworth, an Iraq veteran, talked about her path to working in politics, legislation and projects she’s working on and her military experience.

A former assistant secretary of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Duckworth moved to Illinois to pursue her doctorate in political science from Northern Illinois University.

After her speech, Duckworth answered questions from students.
